North Shore Psychological Services offers a range of assessment instruments for diagnosing autism spectrum disorder across all ages.  These diagnoses are often necessary throughout the lifespan when applying for early intervention, OPWDD, assistance in the schools, services at college and in adulthood such as at work or in relationships.  These diagnostic reports may be used as Autism Diagnostic Reports or Autism Specialty Reports or for a better understanding of yourself or a loved one with information on targeted treatment..

 

We use the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - II (ADOS-II) as our core evaluation as it is the current gold standard and widely accepted by all agencies. Additionally, we likely assess adaptive functioning and/or cognitive functioning depending on your needs and the purposes for the assessment. 

 

These evaluations will result in reports which will include detailed results, as well as recommendations and diagnostic impressions.  All evaluations and reports are conducted by fully licensed Ph.D. level psychologists.

 

There is currently NO waiting list and turnaround time from evaluation to report and follow-up session approximately 1-2 weeks.
